Do you know the meaning of some expressions such as "to go a jump in the river", "to have got a bee in smbd´s bonnet", " to find something a piece of cake", or "to hold sombd´s breath"??? If so, congratulations!!! you can start revising the meaning of these idioms.Some of them are really weird, even for me !!! Don´t trust them at first sight cause they can ring a bell or sound familiar to you and in the end they mean something totally different!!! ( I wish you luck, don´t rack your brains so much!!!!)

Unit 2 WILD ,WILD WORLD

Hi folks!!

A few weeks ago we finished unit 2, the one concerning with the environment and different natural resources.We did many things such as clozes, readings ,listenings, etc...to have "nature" in mind and try to protect it ,as best as we can. As one of my closest friend says on her radio programme: "nature is the future legacy for our children" (jajjaja..she is really good at stating philosophic sentences like that).Well, surfing the net this week,I´ve found out several things related to the earth and exercises interesting to do and see. I hope you have a peep at it!!!Come on, it´s time to save the planet!!

As you can guess this section is addressed to environment related- facts such as those that we´ve seen in class ( carbon emissions, the global warming,ecological footprints etc...). Remember that most texts we read were concerned about the inevitable erosion of the planet due to the growing number of non-ecological actions.
